Colin Fish, Jerome Gabriel, & Coach Don Nelson Heading To The Brandenburg Cup
The last leg of Colin "The Big" Fish's battle outside the ring ended quietly this weekend when he was unchallenged for the 81kg Canadian B Team spot up for grabs at the Ken Goff tournament in Regina, Saskatchewan May 11-13. 81 kg Canadian Champion Alexander Beaupre-Tremblay will now step aside as Colin joins Team Canada in Frankfurt Oder, Germany at the 2007 Brandenburg Cup May 22 -28. This prestigious tournament is held annually and is regarded as one of the most competitive tournaments of the year, drawing boxers from the strongest European countries and around the world. The performance of these Junior Boxers at this world class event will determine which ones have a chance of moving up to the senior ranks and taking a run at qualifying for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.

Colin will be joined by fellow Motor City Boxer Jerome Gabriel and coach Don Nelson who was selected to coach Team Canada.

A note of interest; Motor City's Frankie "The Thrill" Rill was the only Canadian Boxer to medal at the 2006 Brandenburg Cup capturing the bronze, Jerome and Colin will be looking to better that with gold this year.
